Michael David Roberts, M.ED. was born in Spokane Washington.  He received a Bachelor of Arts from Pacific Lutheran University and his Graduate degree was from Whitworth University.  He completed a postgraduate certification through Tulane University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology for Infant Mental Health Assessment. 

 

After Graduate school he worked at Lutheran Community Services Northwest as a Therapist in the Sexual Assault and Family Trauma Unit.  He has worked in various capacities at both Excelsior Youth Center as a Primary Counselor and at Tamarack Center as a Recreation Therapist and subsequently a Psychometrist.  He has been at Marycliff Center in full-time private practice since 2003.  Michael is a Registered Circle of Security Parent Educator.  His clinical orientation is grounded in Object-relations approach, Attachment theory, Neurobiology, Cognitive/behavioral therapy, and the Circle of Security.  He also works extensively with ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, attachment/relational difficulties, and trauma.
